Description

The orangery is located to the east of the main house and was probably built by S. P. Cockerell for Warren Hastings.

J. W. Thomas was an Oxford based photographer who was active from 1946 until 1999. On the identification sticker on the reverse of the mount he is identified as 'J. W. Thomas, M.A'. As he was awarded an honoury Masters of Arts degree from the University of Oxford in 1963, this may indicate that the photograph was taken after this date.
