Description

The Promenade was laid out in 1818 and the Neptune fountain (visible in the corner of the gardens) was added in 1893.

According to the University of Aberdeen who hold the negative for this image, the photograph was registered on 1st September 1899.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.
