Description

The house is also known as Southam de la Bere and, at the time the photograph was taken, was the seat of the Earl of Ellenborough. It is now the Ellenborough Park Hotel.

OP27466, showing a view of Leeds Castle in Kent, is attached to the reverse of the mount.

A section in the centre of the print is damaged.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.

The photograph was transferred from the library of the Royal Institute of British Architects in 1936.
