Description

Hugh Despenser, 2nd Baron Despenser (d.1349) was the son and heir of Hugh the younger Despenser who was executed by Queen Isabella and Roger Mortimer in 1326.

Both of the images are developed on a single piece of card.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.

The photograph was received by the National Buildings Record on 10th February 1948.
