Description

The Bell Hotel is dated from a plaster panel above the porch to 1696, although it has been substantially extended at a later date.

Mr A Pope is named in a newspaper article as the proprietor of the Bell Hotel in 1889. He was succeeded by Mr and Mrs Watson around 1891.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.
