Description

Butley Priory is a large house, converted from the former gatehouse of Butley Abbey in the first half of the 18th century.

On the 1881 and 1904 Ordnance Survey maps for Suffolk, the site is also identified as the vicarage.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.
