Description

The church was largely rebuilt in the mid-19th century, to the design of Richard Makilwaine Phipson and with funds from George Bacon, a local philanthropist .

The back of the print is stamped 'Pawsey and Hayes, Booksellers, Ancient House, Ipswich'.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.

The photograph was received by the National Buildings Record on 7th September 1942.
