Description

Wingfield College was founded by the will of Sir John de Wingfield in 1362. Some parts of the building date from the 14th century but when the college was dissolved in 1542, a large part of the building was demolished. The remainder of the structure was later used as a farmhouse and was refronted in the late 18th century. It was restored in the 1970s and is now a private residence.
