Description

The tomb of Sir John Hopton (d. 1489) is of Purbeck marble and is located in the wall which separates the chancel from the north chapel. The print OP28021 shows the tomb from the chancel, with the space between the chest tomb and canopy blocked with wooden panelling.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.

The photograph was received by the National Buildings Record in 1960.
