On the mount for this print the building is identified as 'Sparrowe's House'. The Sparrow family were owners of the Ancient House for over 200 years and were responsible for the addition of the pargetting in the 17th century.
This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.
The photograph was accessioned by the National Monuments Record on 9th May 1966.
