Description

There is a note on the front of the image, close to the left edge, which reads: 'Water & Son Registered 1866'.

It is likely that the picture was taken from the grounds of the former Dominican Friary, located just to the north-east of the church, as the 1893 Ordnance Survey map shows a wooded area to the north of the friary which is substantially smaller in the map of 1910.

OP28805 and OP28806 are attached to the reverse of the mount for this print.
