Description

There are a number of carvings of minstrels playing instruments in Beverley Minster as, during the medieval period, Beverley was home to a renowned guild of musicians and the town was well known for its secular music.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.
