Description

The identities of the couple commemorated on the tomb is debated but they are thought to likely be members of the de la Pole family. Sir William (died 1366) and his wife, Katherine (died 1381) are often named, as the effigies date from the late 14th century.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.

The photograph was receieved by the National Buildings Record on 23rd June 1942.
