The cross is located on the small green created by the junction of Front Street and Back Street, at the south end of the village. It was presented to the village by Sir Tatton Sykes (1826 - 1913), owner of Sledmere House.
This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.
