Description

On the reverse of the mount, the photographer has noted 'This picture is taken on the border line of Oxfordshire & Warwickshire. The inn is in Warwickshire and the XVI century farm is in Oxfordshire'.

In 1086, the parish of Mollington formed part of three counties - Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. It later became part of Oxfordshire and Warwickshire only, and in 1895 the Warwickshire area was passed to Oxfordshire.
