Description

The Lord Leycester Hospital (also Lord Leicester Hospital) was originally built by the Guild of St George and the Holy Trinity in the 15th century. It was taken over by Robert Dudley, Lord Leicester, in 1571 and converted into a charitable institution for aged soldiers.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.
