Description

The Great Hall was built by John of Gaunt between 1373 and 1380.

On this back of this image is another halftone photograph showing Newark Castle in Nottinghamshire (OP29637).

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.
