Description

The Crown and Anchor Inn was a public house at the west end of Prentice Street, on the corner with Lower Road. The exterior of the timber-framed and plastered building dates from the 17th and 18th century but its origins are thought to be earlier. It is now a private residence.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.
