The British School was built in 1809 and provided for both male and female pupils.
Next to the entrance door of the building is a sign advertising the service times of the Providence Baptist Chapel.
This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.
