The Wealden house was the first property to be acquired and restored by the National Trust. It was bought in 1896 and repaired by 1898.
This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.
The photograph was received by the National Buildings Record in July 1941.
