Description

The Bedford Hotel, built in 1829, stood on the corner of King's Road and Cavendish Place. It was demolished in 1964, having been destroyed by a fire. It was replaced by a 17 storey hotel block which opened in 1967.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.
