Description

The wheel was built in 1854 to pump water from the mineshafts. It is sometimes known as 'Lady Isabella, after the wife of the Governor of the Isle of Man, Charles Hope.

Archival History

The photograph was accessioned by the National Monuments Record on 21st December 1967.
