Description

This is the Philip Webb house of 1872-74, demolished in 1930. The photograph is inscribed to Philip Webb with kindest regards, but the signature of the sender is unclear - it is possibly 'W Bowman', namely the surgeon Sir William Bowman, who commissioned Webb to build the house.
