The hotel began life as an inn in the 18th century. It was formerly known as the Bowling Green and the Cross Foxes. Around 1800 the Wynnstay Hotel became a coaching inn catering for travellers undertaking the journey between London and the port of Holyhead. This outbuilding may has been demolished.
