Description

The club was formed in 1882 by ex-pupils of Merchant Taylors' School, Crosby. Originally the club played on the Serpentine at Blundellsands, and later at Haig Road, Waterloo. The ground at St Anthony's Road, shown in this photograph, opened in 1921 and is also known as the Memorial Ground. The 499 seater concrete and steel stand was opened in 2003. This photograph was published on page 109 of 'Played in Liverpool' by Ray Physick.
