Description

A series of one hundred and thirty-four (134) digital colour photographs of sports sites in Liverpool, and also in Knowsley, Sefton and Wirral.

All of the photographs were taken by Simon Inglis for the 'Played In...' book series, and around 80 of the images were published in 'Played in Liverpool' (2007), edited by Ray Physick.

The sites shown include cricket pavilions, clubhouses, institutes, racecourses, swimming pools, football grounds and bowling clubs, as well as related structures. There are both internal and external views, as well as details of features (for example tiling, plaques and memorials). Well-known sites such as Goodison Park, Anfield, Aintree Racecourse are shown in a run of 10-20 photographs each.
