Description

The baths were built in 1890-91 to the designs of Henry Spalding and Alfred Cross. It was one of the earliest public baths to be designed by Cross, who later became a leading expert in this type of building. The baths were restored in 2010-2013 at a cost of over £5 million. This photograph was published on page 173 of 'Played in London' by Simon Inglis.
