Description

The foundation stone of Clapham Baths was laid in September 1930 by Thomas John Cox, Mayor of Wandsworth 1929-1930. The building was formally opened in July 1932. The baths included a swimming pool, first and second class slipper baths for men and women, and a laundry. In around 2010 the building was demolished and a new leisure centre was built on the site.
