Description

The Hornsey Road Baths were built in 1892 and closed in 1991. The swimming pools were demolished and the site redeveloped as Tiltman Place, with blocks of apartments. The entrance block (or gatehouse) and laundry buildings were converted into apartments known as The Gatehouse. The neon sign of a diving woman on the south elevation is one of 12 signs to be commissioned for baths in London in the 1930s; it is the sole surviving example.
