Description

The Stanley Hall and Baths, or Marble Baths, were built for E H Blunt and opened in April 1885. The building had a 60 foot swimming pool on the ground floor and a public hall above. The swimming pool was converted into a cinema in 1909, and in the 21st century was in use as a live music venue. This photograph was published on page 168 of 'Played in London' by Simon Inglis.
