Description

The lido or open-air swimming pool in Barking Park was opened in 1931. It was closed in 1988. The pool was later infilled and fitted with fountains to create the Splash Park, which opened in 2012. The entrance block, fountains, and parts of the perimeter wall were restored as part of £7 million refurbishment of Barking Park.
