Description

The first Lord's Cricket Ground was laid out in 1787 on a site known as Dorset Fields, part of which later became Dorset Square. In 1811 the ground was moved north-west to a site between Rossmore Road and Lodge Place. Since 1814 it has occupied the site on St John's Wood Road. This photograph was published on page 200 of 'Played in London' by Simon Inglis.
