Description

The German Gymnasium was built in 1864-65 to the designs of Edward Gruning for the German Gymnastic Society. It was originally accessed via a door in the centre of the terrace at 22-30 Pancras Road. In the 21st century, redevelopment of the area surrounding King's Cross included the demolition of this terrace and the front of the gymnasium. It is Grade II Listed. This photograph was published on page 141 of 'Played in London' by Simon Inglis.
