Description

The club was founded in 1866 by John MacGregor. It was named the Royal Canoe Club from 1873. The club has two boat houses: the mainland boat house on Trowlock Way (built in around 1901), and a building on Trowlock Island (shown in this photograph) which was constructed in 1897. It was rebuilt in 2009.
