Description

The boat house at York House was built in around 1900 by the Duc d'Orleans. In 1924 it was leased to the Twickenham Yacht Club. The club was founded in 1897 and was originally known as The Swan Sailing Club, later the Twickenham Sailing Club. A mezzanine floor and balcony were added to the boat house in 2013.
