Nether Court was built in the early 1880s for Henry Tubbs. In 1893, Tubbs allowed Finchley Golf Club to use a golf course which he had laid out in the grounds. The early club, which was established in around 1892, was closed 1909. It was reformed in 1929 when Nether Court became their clubhouse.
