Description

A club was formed on Mitcham Common in 1891 as the Princes Golf Club, later an "exclusive club for City gentlemen". The Mitcham Village Golf Club was established in 1907 and the clubs shared the course until around 1924. The clubhouse was built after the original building was destroyed by fire in 1933.
