A club was formed on Mitcham Common in 1891 as the Princes Golf Club, later an "exclusive club for City gentlemen". The Mitcham Village Golf Club was established in 1907 and the clubs shared the course until around 1924. This photograph was published on page 220 of 'Played in London' by Simon Inglis.
