The ice rink was opened in 1931. The building was designed by cinema architect Robert Cromie. It closed in December 2011 and was replaced by Streatham Ice and Leisure Centre, which opened to the south of the former rink on Streatham High Road in 2013. The original building was demolished and the site was redeveloped. This photograph was published on page 339 of 'Played in London' by Simon Inglis.
