Description

Tom Cribb (1781-1848) was a champion bare-knuckle boxer, and later a coal merchant and publican. He was landlord of the Union Arms on Panton Street from 1825 until 1834; the pub has borne his name since 1960. This photograph was published on page 19 of 'Played in London' by Simon Inglis.
