Description

Tom Sayers (1826-1865) was Britain's final bare knuckle champion before the Queensbury Rules were enforced in 1867. His grave is guarded by a statue of his mastiff, Lion. This photograph was published on page 19 of 'Played in London' by Simon Inglis.
