The park is home to Tynemouth Bowling Club. This pavilion dates from the early to mid-20th century and in the 21st century housed a cafe. A second pavilion, occupied by the bowling club, was built in the 1930s-1950s. At some point between 2010-2014 the bowling green in the foreground was converted into a maze.
