Description

The green in Alexandra Park was laid out in 1907, although the Alexandra Park Bowls Club had played on public lawns at the park since 1893. The club share the green and pavilion with Clive Vale Bowls Club (formed 1900). This photograph was published on page 125 of 'Bowled Over: The bowling greens of Britain' by Hugh Hornby.
