Description

The bowling green in Battersea Park was the first public bowling green in a London Park. It opened in 1891, and Battersea Park Bowls Club was formed that year. The club closed in 2014. This photograph was published on page 204 of 'Bowled Over: The bowling greens of Britain' by Hugh Hornby.
