Description

The main stand built in 1936 replaced an earlier wooden stand, and was officially opened in November 1936. It was demolished in 2010 when Chesterfield Football Club relocated to a new stadium in Whittington Moor, Chesterfield. The site of the Saltergate stadium was redeveloped for housing. This image was scanned from an undated 35mm transparency.
