748 High Road was previously a coffee house known as the Red House. Tottenham Hotspur Football Club established their offices in the building in 1921 and this clock, which featured the club's emblem of a cockerel, was mounted in 1934. Number 748 and surrounding buildings were demolished in around 2016 as part of redevelopment of the stadium. This photograph was published on page 108 of 'Engineering Archie: Archibald Leitch - football ground designer' by Simon Inglis. This image was scanned from an undated 35mm transparency.
