Twickenham Stadium was opened in 1909. The East Stand was built in 1927. This stand and the West Stand (built in 1932) may have been designed by Archibald Leitch. The stands were demolished in 1992. This photograph was published on page 154 of 'Engineering Archie: Archibald Leitch - football ground designer' by Simon Inglis. This image was scanned from a dated 35mm transparency.
