The former First Class pool in Acton Swimming Baths

The swimming baths were opened in June 1904. The First Class pool featured a poolside balcony. The building was redeveloped in 2014 as the Acton Centre, and only the Grade II listed chimney now remains of the original building. This photograph was published on page 125 of 'Great Lengths: The historic indoor swimming pools of Britain' by Dr Ian Gordon and Simon Inglis.
