A series of two hundred and eighty (280) digital colour photographs of swimming pools, public baths, wash houses and associated structures in England. Many of the buildings have since been converted or partially demolished.
All of the photographs were taken by Simon Inglis. 76 were published in 'Great Lengths: The Indoor Historic Swimming Pools of Britain' (2009) by Dr Ian Gordon and Simon Inglis, and several were published in 'Played in London' (2014) by Simon Inglis and in 'Played in Birmingham' (2006) by Steve Beauchampe and Simon Inglis.
The majority of the photographs show sites in London and Greater London (over 200 images). Other sites include Cheltenham, Coventry, Leicester, Oldham, and Warwick.
