Description

Dulwich Public Baths opened in June 1892. The baths originally consisted of an entrance block on Crystal Palace Road and two pool halls behind. The site was expanded in 1910 to include slipper baths and wider exits to increase capacity when the main pool was covered and used as a public hall. In the 1980s this pool was covered permanently, leaving the second class pool in operation. Since the 1990s the building has been restored and altered, including converting the slipper baths into a creche and installing a gym in the former first class pool hall.
